Hey i’m natalie and affirmations are my jam

How F-Bomb Affirmations came about

1989: I entered the shop, and scanned the shelves of salt lamps and Buddha statues until I found the shelves containing the books. I ran my finger along their spines, my eyes and mind cracking open at the titles Astral Travel, How to Lucid Dream, Pagan Rituals.

I had never seen anything like this. Magic was a big part of my life, but it was the party trick kind of magic, not the magic of things unseen that these books seemed to be alluding to.

I left with four books, one about dreams, one about crystals, one about astral travel and one about affirmations - yes I had picked up ‘You Can Heal Your Life’ by Louise Hay, published just a few years earlier.

When I got home I shut myself in my room for the rest of the weekend. I couldn’t tell you much about the other books, but reading the affirmation book felt like an orchestra of light bulbs popping in my head.

It just made so much sense to me. The mind body connection. It confirmed what I always knew about there being more to this world than that which we can see with our eyes.

And it spoke to that part of me that yearned for magic to be true. To that whisper inside that said ‘Oh yes, anything is possible,’ and to that longing for my reality to be more than ‘an ill mother, three younger brothers to care for, and a magic yet emotionally absent father’.

And that was the beginning of my love affair and adventure with affirmations.

I dabbled with them in my 20’s but it wasn’t until my 30s that I really ‘got them’. As part of a hypnobirthing course in preparation for the birth of my first child I listened to recorded affirmations daily, and often nightly while I slept.

I was re-wiring my brain against all the cultural brain washing I had received around birth being a traumatic experience. I ended up having a text book easy birth.

This made me realise what an intrinsic part of mindset listening to recorded affirmations can be, and I was hooked.

I started recording a range of affirmations and eventually released them for free on SoundCloud.

As I gradually came out of the fog that is the intense years of early parenting I started to work deeper with my affirmations, tweaking and developing them until they became a bigger part of my mindset practice.

And here we are today with ‘F-Bomb Affirmations’.

F-Bomb Affirmations are here to help you tap into your fierce, into your power, and into your awesome.

It is my greatest wish that they do just that.

About me:

I want you to get the fuck out of your own way and to step up. Stepping up may mean creating a six figure income from your passion, or it may mean telling your parents you don’t want to stay in the box they have put you in. It could also just mean buying that colourful outfit or wearing ‘all the accessories’ to the office merely for your own joy.

Born in New Zealand, I spent my twenties and most of my thirties in Europe, and now I’m living on the Sunshine Coast Australia with my partner, our two daughters, twelve chickens, and three alpacas.

I am freaking passionate about encouraging and empowering people to claim and step into their awesome. Life is too short for staying small, for ‘what ifs’, for staying in the sidelines and for sheep mentality. If we all allowed ourselves to express freely who we are, and to do what that inner whisper inside is telling us, then I truly believe the world would be a better place.

As a self proclaimed affirmation expert I have been working with affirmations for most of my life. My affirmation tracks have had over 200,000 plays on SoundCloud.

When I am not recording affirmations you will find me wearing sequins and dancing in a field, or surrounded by glitter, pigment and paper in my studio, or living my best life with my lover and our two daughters.
